After you form a Wyoming corporation, if you intend to do business within the state you will likely need a Wyoming bank account. A business account can be opened only in person at a bank branch.
Every bank will have its own policies concerning business accounts and what is necessary to open one. The best course of action is to call the bank where you intend to open the account and ask what paperwork you will need to provide.
In general, a bank will ask a Wyoming corporation to provide:
- Filed copy of the Articles of Incorporation
- Employer Identification Number
- Copy of Corporate Bylaws
- Copy of Initial Resolution
The individual who opens the bank account must be authorized to open accounts for the corporation. Authorization can be granted in the Bylaws and in the Initial Resolution.
Once the account is open, you can use the account to process payments, set up employee payroll, cover debts, and manage other financial business transactions.
